Josep Casadellà, bassoon

Josep was born in Figueres in 1987. He started with Sara Parés in Figueres and at the Conservatori de Música de Girona. He is graduated in Basson at he ESMUC (2010) where he studied with David Tomàs. In 2006 he started early music studies with Josep Borràs and between 2009 and 2011 he did a Master in Historical Bassoons at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague with Donna Agrell.

Professionally he is active both with modern bassoon and historical bassoons (baroque, classical and romantic). He has played in cities around the world as Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Vienna, Buenos Aires, Lima, Rio de Janeiro and Seoul, where he performed a solo concerto in the 1st Early Music Festival of Seoul Music Hall. He has played with Freiburger Barockorchester.

During his studies Josep has received scholarships from Fundació Anna Riera (2008), Fundació Güell (2009) and Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya (2010).
